STACKED Expo takes place at the intersection of art and technology as part of Glendale Tech Week, September 14-21, 2019.

Playing on the notion of a data “stack” in computer science, as well as the crude slang term for the female form, STACKED reshuffles the deck of historically-masculine tech hierarchy by highlighting a spectrum of female-identifying and non-binary artists, designers and technologists. Dynamic programming includes art exhibitions featuring digital media and emerging technologies; a panel of pioneering creatives from local institutions and labs; and community-building design workshops on augmented reality and artificial intelligence.

Curated by Selwa Sweidan and Laura Darlington, STACKED Expo builds toward their upcoming exhibition at Glendale’s Brand Library & Art Center in January 2020.
